Edith Falls

Why does this place name sound like a stage direction? It's a beauty spot within the Nitmiluk National Park and has several walks and other focal points of natural beauty.

We pitched tent in a lovely tree shaded area and went for a short walk to see a lake with water falls.

The following day, we were up at the crack of dawn to walk one of the recommended trails to see the eponymous Edith Falls. The first part of the walk took us through some woodland glades with creeks running through. Time for an atmospheric shot or two.

As we gained altitude, the early morning sun started to make its presence felt, but it was still comfortable enough for walking - glad we set off early.

Arriving at the Falls, with only one or two other folks around, there were lovely scenes all around. I know one shouldn't nit-pick, but looking eastwards at this hour of day made good quality shots rather difficult.
