The town sign and the backdrop approaching Camooweal say it all.

This is miles from anywhere.
We found a camp site in the town was just fine ...which is just as well, because it's an awful long way to the next town. Which meant that we did manage a little exploring. The townsfolk have done some restoration to old fashioned stores
...and made a heritage museum, which looked beautifully authentic.

A mural in a partially hidden off-road location celebrates a tremendous feat of endurance.

I include the notes of explantion to give the right flavour to the feat. What it omits to say is that the distance involved is 2,500 kilometres.
